What a way, to get away! This beautiful, secluded, and very well appointed country farmhouse feels like it’s miles from anywhere, when in reality… It’s 7 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 minutes to Boone, 20 minutes to Blowing Rock and just a short drive to West Jefferson.
Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming farmhouse has over 1000 feet of a pristine, state stocked, trout stream, known as Elk Creek, running through the 2.5 acre property.
Endless opportunities await you on the farm. Casting your line for that trophy trout, splashing in the swimming holes, hiking, cycling, playing croquet or horse shoes, even catching fire flies at dusk on a summer’s eve.
When you’re ready to venture away from the farm, you’re at the foot of the High Country. To your left, Boone, Blowing Rock, & Banner Elk. To your right, the charming town of West Jefferson. Antiquing, Tweetsie Railroad, ski resorts, horseback riding, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, the original Mast General Store of Valle Crucis, a Tanger Outlet Mall and Moses Cone Estate are all within a short drive.
When all the activities have worn you out, there’s nothing better than rocking away the time on the porch’s rockers or perhaps a nap in the hammock by the creek would soothe your soul. This is truly a place to drop out of the hustle & bustle and tune in to nature. Where deep breaths of fresh mountain air clear your mind and relax your body. COME FEEL THIS RELAXATION FOR YOURSELF!
What a romantic weekend! Spent Valentines here with the hubby - so relaxing. Everything we needed was right there. And the views were incredible. Far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely mountain getaway complete with stream
Our family would definitely recommend Brooks Bend Farm! We spent a great Fall weekend there, and were able to visit Boone and Grandfather Mountain as well. The house is meticulous and comfortable; we especially enjoyed the porches and the lovely yard next to a mountain stream, where we sketched. And our family dog enjoyed her stay as well. We'd recommend this rental to everyone.

The Digh Family
My family absolutely loved this beautiul home. This place has it all and the creek was gorgeous. We probably caught 50 sucker fish, my two little boys "discovered" your waterfall, and we caught a handful of crawdads. The firepit was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. Can't wait to come back next year. Only 4 miles from turtle mountain preserve. Thanks again.

Very relaxing weekend...
LOVE the creek! It's so clean that we could watch the trout swimming around! Love the sound of the water! Love that every single room has a view of the creek! Love the flat, grassy yard for the dogs. Loved that the porch wrapped on two sides of the house so you could always find some shade. The king size bed in the master was very comfortable and the sheets were nice! Everything you could possibly want in a kitchen was there! Very clean. We ate all our meals out on the deck. Wifi was good. TV was sufficient. It was smaller than we are used to but it didn't bother me at all. The proximity to the Parkway, to Boone, and to Blowing Rock was great! Elk Creek Road was fun to drive on. Very windy. It's close to the road but because there are so few cars, you feel like you are the only ones in the world. Very relaxing! Wish we had seen some more wildlife but we did see the trout and a heron that landed in the creek one morning. They even had toilet paper and paper towels there when we arrived. The rocker recliners were comfy and so were the rockers on the front porch. No regrets. Went motorcycle riding on the Parkway one day and horseback riding the next. Always came back by mid afternoon so we could enjoy the farmhouse and the creek.

Our stay was amazing!! We hadn't been on vacation as a family in several years and really needed this break from life! It was so quiet and we loved being alongside the beautiful creek! We loved sitting on the porch in the morning and watching the creek, going on hikes, having bon fires, just enjoying the peace and quiet. The home had everything we needed and then some! Beautifully decorated. The owners really thought of everything. It really was perfect. Very highly recommend.
